Our custom pilot bearing adaptor. We use the OE Porsche style cartridge pilot bearing to prevent wear to your drive shaft. A Porsche engine speed driveshaft is NOT hardened for use with a needle bearing style pilot.

Our bushing presses firmly into your crankshaft for a semi-permanent fit, but we machine the bushing so that the pilot bearing itself is a less permanent fit. The pilot bearing presses in with just enough force to prevent the outer race from spinning in the bushing, while making it easy to replace in the future. For added safety we use an internal snap ring to hold the bearing in place.
